Many people don't really know what the Bible is so that's our topic
Q What is the BIBLE?
A The BIBLE is a unique book
The first verse of the first chapter of the first book in the BIBLE makes a simple yet profound statement:
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." GENESIS 1:1
This statement can be easily proven......BY SIMPLY LOOKING AROUND! And since we can clearly see that creation has taken place, the BIBLE says there is no excuse for doubting the existence of its CREATOR, because...
"The heavens declare... his handywork." PSALM 19:1
"...the invisible things of him [God] from the creation of the world are clearly seen..." ROMANS 1:20
Creation reveals there is a God, but not what He is like, why are we here, or what happens when this life is over. So it would stand to reason that our Creator would not leave His creation without any hope of answering these questions. That is why He provided us with an "owner's manual" on life, a very unique book known as the BIBLE. It is God's gift to His creation, and was...
"...written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort
of the scriptures might have hope." ROMANS 15:4
This life is truly a dressing room for eternity. Our Creator has provided within the BIBLE, everything we need to know this side of heaven. It is a book that has been read by more people, has been published in more languages, and has affected the world more than all other books ever written combined. No wonder it is the best seller of all time with over seven billion copies printed since the invention of the printing press.
In the weeks to come, this course will give you an understanding of the only Book God has written.
